Chocolate Walnut Brownie

For those Chocolate Lovers

This Gluten Free Chocolate and Walnut Brownie is really yum.
Eat as a Dessert or have with a cup of Coffee or a lovely strong cup of Tea in the afternoon. We ate ours for Dessert, warmed slightly then served with a dollop of Greek Yoghurt.

Give as a Gift to someone special, or for someone who might be feeling a bit poorly. Wrap in pretty Tissue Paper and place into a Box.


Chocolate Walnut Brownie

  • 250g Cooking Chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon Instant Coffee
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 180g Butter
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 1/2 cups Gluten Free Flour
  • 3 Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup Walnuts, roughly chopped


Preheat Oven to 180ºC.

Line a Brownie Tin or a 22cm square Cake Tin with Baking Paper.

In a medium Pot place, Chocolate, Butter, Coffee, Honey, and Water. On a low heat, stir until all ingredients have melted and the mixture is smooth. Set aside.

Mix together the Gluten Free Flour, Cocoa and chopped Walnuts in a medium sized Bowl.

Pour over the melted Chocolate mixture along with the lightly beaten Eggs. Stir well.

Pour mixture into your prepared Tin, smooth out evenly.

Bake for about 30-35 minutes. Leave on a rack to cool for 15-20 minutes. Slice when cooled.

Dust with Coco Powder.
